Wendie T. Dalberg LCSW & Associates

I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients in individual, partnered and family configurations. I have a psychodynamic baseline in the understanding of human development and difficulty. I additionally feel that meaningful therapy is a kind of art form. It is the weaving together of meaning that can lead to the most enriching results.

Services

Whether your present situation involves long standing internal issues, current life situations, or a combination of both, I can help you identify the sources of your discomfort. I often find that there is a parallel component of shame, self rebuking that comes with this discomfort. If so, it becomes a goal between me and the client to help lift this burden. Helping to develop an improved perspective, can in and of itself be quite reassuring. Perhaps surprising, humor often finds it’s way into our sessions. I find that there is much relief to be had through shared laughter and the commonality of human experiences.

The world of psychotherapy can be a confusing, even overwhelming, place for the person seeking competent help and credible information.  I’m glad to have their network available for all those interested in advancing mental health care knowledge and practice.

I Have Experience With…

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is the use of psychological methods, particularly when based on regular personal interaction, to help a person change behavior, increase happiness, and overcome problems.

Relationship Therapy

Couples therapy attempts to improve romantic relationships and resolve interpersonal conflicts.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is a branch of psychology that works with families and couples in intimate relationships to nurture change and development. It tends to view change in terms of the systems of interaction between family members.

Child Therapy

Child psychotherapy, or mental health interventions for children have developed varied approaches over the last century.

Anxiety, Stress, and Depression
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the most widely-used therapy for anxiety disorders. Research has shown it to be effective in the treatment of panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder, among many other conditions.
